The track was good. Gradual angles of elevation sure is quite a challenge for noob runners like me. Ü I passed up four drinking stations because I thought I'd be overhydrated since I downed almost a bottle of Gatorade a few minutes before the race. And when I approached the fifth oasis, water never tasted that good. Ü
The only thing I didn't like about the run is that there's this long distance between two drinking stations inside Heritage Park. Everything else was great.
I got a loot bag containing drinks (Powerade and Coke Zero) and snacks (Nature Valley Granola Bars) plus a certificate for finishing the race. I clocked in at 1H:48M:46S. Not bad for someone with a hangover I suppose. Haha! : þ
Some facts:
• 46% of the total girls who participated kicked my ass in the clock board
• I outran 268 people!
• But I ate the dust of 458 people : þ
• My average speed was 8.3 KPH
• It took me an average of 7M:15S to cover a single KM
• From the 12.5 KM marker up to the finish line, I passed 5 runners!
• And 70 passed me : þ
• I was at the 7.5 KM marker when the 1st placer finished the race
• Hundreds, if not a few thousands of us runners made a lot more people smile in Hands On Manila and 57:75 Ü
• I drank two small cups of water and one bottle of Powerade throughout the race
• And a couple more of San Mig Strong Ice afterwards : þ
